Over the last 15 years, the diversity makeup of the migrant demographic has rapidly evolved into an international mix of migrants from all around the world.

About Espacio Migrante 🎬

Espacio Migrante is a binational community organization based in Tijuana, which works with migrant communities to promote access to Human Rights, such as education and health; provide comprehensive care and at the same time raise awareness in the community about the realities of migrants. Espacio Migrante has a shelter for migrant families, as well as a cultural and community center where migrants living in Tijuana can participate in community activities, educational programs, cultural events, and health and legal services. I am an Internationalist from the Autonomous University of Baja California, I was born and raised in Tijuana. Committed to the protection of human rights, I have collaborated in various social projects in Tijuana and Mexico City, related to the Right to Health, Labor Rights, Sexual and Reproductive Rights. Soy Internacionalista por la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, nací y crecí en Tijuana. Comprometida con la protección de los derechos humanos, he colaborado en diversos proyectos sociales en Tijuana y Ciudad de México, relacionados al Derecho a la salud, Derechos Laborales, Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos. About Jessica Valcin 🎬

I am Haitian, I am 27 years old, I work at Espacio Migrante, where I support the community in activities related to their needs, such as providing information, assistance and contacting them with legal assistance; whose objective is to make migration visible, intercultural promotion and listen to them. Part of my job is to know more about the person or people that make up the migrant community, to have that empathy with their culture and how they are adapting to their receiving country. Soy Haitiana, tengo 27 años, trabajo en Espacio Migrante, en donde apoyó a la comunidad en actividades relacionadas con necesidades que tengan, como proporcionar información, asistencia y contactarlos con asistencia legal; cuyo objetivo es visibilizar la migración, promoción intercultural y escucharlos. Parte de mi labor es saber más acerca de la persona o personas que integran a la comunidad migrante, para tener esa empatía con su cultura y como se va adaptando a su país receptor. Dr. Christopher C. Odom, MFA, PhD, Our Vision Chief Executive Officer 🎞️ earned his PhD in Texts and Technology, Digital Media at the University of Central Florida and his MFA in Film and Television from the University of California, Los Angeles. As a filmmaker, Dr. Odom has produced, directed, written, shot, and/or edited +500 short and long-form creative projects. As a Course Director at Full Sail University, Dr. Odom has supervised and developed an additional +500 student short scripts and films.
