Reynaldo Escoto is a transborder script writer and filmmaker from Tijuana Mexico. He has directed short documentaries regarding migration between Tijuana and San Diego as well as fiction. He has also directed more than 15 stop motion  animations created with children and youth from different cities around the world such as Tijuana, San Diego, Rosarito, San Cristobal, Mexico City. 

His work has been selected to “San Diego’s Latino Film Festival” United States, “Festival Internacional de Cine para niños (y no tan niños)” Mexico City, “Festival Internacional de Cine en Cordoba” Argentina, “Casa de Mexico” Spain.

Special guest and workshop instructor in Tokyo Japan at “Kineko International Film Festival” (2022) and  “Mexico’s City International Children Film Festival”, (2019-2024).

Marie Kellier founded LA Carnival in 1998 to bring a little piece of the Caribbean to Los Angeles but yet still maintaining a very distinctive LA feel to it. We talked about the 2024 carnival that's coming up in June in Leimert Park Village Los Angeles. We also talked about the beginning days of the carnival, the ups and downs of making the carnival happen, the hard work, and all the roadblocks she had to face in order to make this carnival happen.
